Anthology
This season we open the BL Anthology, an archive of the spaces we are composing. Nooks, tabletop vignettes and quiet corners, each layered with character by our editorial team and shared as the work unfolds. Consider it a living portfolio, written in fabric, colour and form.
Look 01
Melancholy Chic
A still life deserves a quiet stage. Autumn Harvest Study rests low against a charcoal wall, its pomegranates echoed by the blue and white of a Willow Mist jar. Stems of Cherry Blossom White soften the edges and a single candle does the rest. Proof that a console can tell a story as well as any wall.

The Reading Nook
Mansfield Park is zebra at its most well mannered: ivory on oat, finished with a soft fringe. Set on a linen bergère with a stack of books, it brings a little wildness to a very civilised corner, while the New Leaf stool adds a glazed note of colour within arm’s reach.

Look 03
Wabi Sabi
The Swan in noir carries the drama here, framed in gold against a deep grey wall. We kept everything else pale and quiet: cream hydrangeas spilling over a textured vase, a stack of books, a single candle. Light and shadow, in perfect balance.

Chinoiserie Affair
Blue and white has never needed an introduction. Here, Aviary’s songbirds and trailing branches settle into a linen armchair, their navy fringe picking up the ink of the rug below. Beside it, the First Frost stool does double duty as a perch for books and a cool, glazed pause in the scheme, while a Ming Blossom jar keeps the conversation going in the background. Chinoiserie at its most relaxed: collected, never coordinated.

Shabby Chic
Fairytale II reads like a garden in late bloom: faded roses, soft lilac and a fringe the colour of old silk. We paired it with a French cane chair and the Celadon stool, whose pale jade glaze cools the warmth of the florals. Together they bring a little of the conservatory indoors, the kind of corner made for tea, letters and long afternoons.

Blush Hour
Sometimes a single pillow is enough. Blush, in dusty rose with a fine white piping, rests on a grey bergère beside a spray of cream hydrangeas. Soft against soft, warm against cool: proof that restraint can be every bit as romantic as excess.
